Jamaat-e-Islami MPA Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch Calls for Long March to Address Balochistan’s Issues

Quetta:Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA), Molana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, has called for a long march to Islamabad to resolve Balochistan’s ongoing issues, secure its rights, and protest against the rampant injustice, lawlessness, and authoritarianism in the region. He emphasized the need for the people of Balochistan to unite with Jamaat-e-Islami in this struggle for justice and the resolution of the province’s problems.
Baloch, while addressing a meeting with various delegations, expressed grave concerns over the current situation in Balochistan, stating that the province was being treated like a “stepchild” and ignored by the authorities. Instead of addressing public issues, a select few were being favored while the common people continued to suffer.
He also commented on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, expressing solidarity with Iran, stating that all Muslims stood with Iran in this conflict. He further criticized Israel’s role as a U.S. ally, accusing it of destabilizing global peace. He warned that if Muslim nations failed to unite, the situation might deteriorate for countries like Turkey and Pakistan as well, with similar crises expected in the future.
Molana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch also blamed the incompetence and corruption of the ruling elite for the current economic hardships in Balochistan. He stated that the closure of the Pakistan-Iran border, the ban on Iranian fuel, and the ensuing fuel shortages were a direct result of the government’s mismanagement. He pointed out that while the ruling class continues to enrich itself, ordinary citizens suffer from unemployment and rising fuel prices.
Discussing the deteriorating security situation in the province, he criticized the government’s indifference to the suffering of the people, including the rising cases of abductions, killings, and disappearances. Despite spending billions on security, Baloch claimed that neither the people nor the roads were safe.
“The people of Balochistan are being subjected to violence, humiliation, looting, and killings. This is all due to the government’s wrong policies,” Baloch said. He also pointed out that despite the security forces’ involvement in securing the province, businesses were being extorted, further exacerbating the crisis.
Molana Hidayat-ur-Rehman assured the public that Jamaat-e-Islami would continue to raise its voice for the rights, dignity, and employment opportunities for the people of Balochistan. He called on the public to support the upcoming long march to Islamabad, which aims to force the ruling elite to address the collective issues of the province. The march is intended to demand solutions for unemployment, poverty, security, and the restoration of the people’s rights.
He concluded by urging the public to stand with Jamaat-e-Islami in this fight for justice, prosperity, and peace, asserting that the party would continue to champion the cause of the people on every forum until their rights were secured.
