Faisal Qureshi Responds to Nadia Afgan’s Criticism of His English Speaking Style

Lahore: Pakistani actor Faisal Qureshi, who has been praised for his performance in the recent drama serial Behroopia, has responded to actress Nadia Afgan’s criticism of his English-speaking style.
In the drama, Faisal portrays a character suffering from multiple personality disorder. Nadia Afgan recently criticized Faisal’s way of speaking English during a talk show, particularly pointing out the use of the word “gacha,” which she felt sounded unrefined.
In a video message alongside the drama’s director, Shakeel Khan, Faisal explained that certain circles in the United States pronounce “Gotcha” as “Gottcha.” He clarified that his character, Kabir, is inspired by a foreign friend who speaks in this manner.
Shakeel Khan further explained that the character’s speech pattern, including Faisal’s English accent, was intentionally designed for the role.
Once the video went viral on social media, many users expressed support for Faisal’s stance and criticized Nadia’s comments as unnecessary.
