Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Advisor Criticizes Federal Government Over Budget Consultation Issues

Peshawar:The Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Dr. Saif, has strongly criticized the federal government, accusing it of undermining the province’s political rights. Speaking on the issue of the national budget, Dr. Saif emphasized that consulting the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, is crucial for addressing national matters of such significance.

Dr. Saif stated, “It is imperative to consult the founder of PTI on the budget, as his ideology and vision were the driving forces behind the votes of the people.” He further accused the federal government of denying Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s leadership a meeting with their party leader, labeling it as a malicious and politically vindictive act.

The advisor argued that the federal government, by disregarding PTI’s input on the budget, was punishing the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for their electoral mandate and undermining democracy. “This behavior not only contradicts the spirit of the Constitution but also goes against national unity,” Dr. Saif added.

In his remarks, he also condemned the federal government’s refusal to allow Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister and other provincial leaders to meet with Imran Khan. He described this action as an affront to the public mandate, an open violation of judicial decisions, and a severe form of political retaliation.

Dr. Saif demanded that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s leadership be allowed to meet with their leader immediately so that the voices of elected representatives could be heard and the province’s interests could be safeguarded in the budget.
