PM Shehbaz Sharif Acknowledges Public Sacrifices Amid Challenges, Urges Pakistan’s Economic Take-Off

Islamabad:Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the country has faced immense challenges over the past year, during which the common man has made significant sacrifices. Speaking at a federal cabinet meeting, he emphasized that the burden of the previous budget was largely borne by the salaried class.
The Prime Minister questioned the elite, asking them to reflect on how much tax they paid compared to the contributions of ordinary taxpayers. “The salaried class carried the weight while the elite must now answer for their share,” he asserted.
Shehbaz Sharif praised his government’s performance during tough times, calling it a notable achievement. “Despite the odds, the government delivered results. Now is the time for Pakistan to take off,” he stated with optimism.
He also mentioned a victory over adversaries, saying, “The enemy we defeated can no longer weaponize water against us,” in a veiled reference to regional tensions.
The Prime Minister’s remarks come amid the presentation of the national budget and continued economic reforms aiming to stabilize the country and promote growth.
