Jamaat-e-Islami Leader Calls for Long March Against Injustice and State Repression in Balochistan

Quetta:Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and MPA, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, expressed deep concerns over the growing anger, fear, and insecurity among the people of Balochistan, attributing it to widespread injustices, lawlessness, and human rights violations in the region. He criticized the state’s use of force, human rights abuses, and undemocratic tactics, which have led to public disillusionment. He emphasized that the worsening situation, including business shutdowns and lack of basic services, is pushing the people to despair.

While addressing a gathering in Gwadar and meeting with a delegation, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman stated, “The ‘Haqq Do Balochistan’ movement is a campaign for every tribe, every community, and every language spoken in Balochistan. The people of Balochistan are deprived of basic human, economic, and democratic rights. They are yearning for clean drinking water, justice, and fairness.”

He further stated that the unresolved issue of missing persons remains the biggest challenge for the people of Balochistan. “There is a deliberate attempt to alienate the people of Balochistan from their democratic struggle by state repression and injustice,” he said. He called upon the people to join the Jamaat-e-Islami in their fight against oppression, lawlessness, and the denial of their rights.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman also highlighted the growing frustration among the youth, calling for job opportunities, the opening of borders for traders, and the immediate release of political prisoners and activists. “The government must immediately stop using force and instead focus on dialogue and providing the people of Balochistan with their rightful democratic, constitutional, and human rights,” he added.

The leader pointed out that sustainable peace in Balochistan cannot be achieved through forceful tactics but must come through justice, negotiations, and the fulfillment of the people’s rights. “History has shown that no nation has ever been silenced through oppression. The state should abandon the use of force and initiate serious negotiations for real peace and stability in Balochistan,” he concluded.
