No New Taxes in Upcoming KP Budget, Says Provincial Finance Adviser

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Adviser on Finance, Muzzammil Aslam, has announced that the provincial government has no plans to introduce any new taxes in the upcoming budget.
Addressing concerns related to tax revenues, Aslam stated that KP’s tax collection for the past 11 months has seen a 40% increase compared to the same period last year. Additionally, non-tax revenues have also risen by over 50%.
He reassured taxpayers in the province, saying, “We want to make it clear that there will be no new taxes in the next fiscal year. Our focus will be on expanding the tax net and improving implementation.”
Aslam also revealed that the province has set a 40% growth target for tax revenue in the next fiscal year, continuing its efforts to strengthen financial sustainability without burdening the public with additional taxes.
