Over 2,800 Schools in Balochistan Reactivated, 523 Schools Still Inactive

Quetta:According to a report by the Directorate of Education Schools Balochistan, significant progress has been made in reactivating non-functional schools across the province. Out of the 3,387 non-functional schools, a total of 2,864 schools have been made operational following the appointment of teachers through the SB Test.

The report highlighted that **18 districts** in Balochistan have successfully activated all their schools, while in the remaining 18 districts, a total of **523 schools** are still inactive. The government has outlined plans to reactivate these schools in the near future.

The reactivated schools include **2,835 primary schools**, **26 middle schools**, and **3 high schools**. Districts such as **Barkhan**, **Chaghi**, **Dera Bugti**, **Duki**, **Harnai**, **Hub**, **Jaffarabad**, **Kalat**, **Kharan**, **Khezdar**, **Kohlu**, **Lasbela**, **Nasirabad**, **Nushki**, **Quetta**, **Sohbatpur**, **Washuk**, and **Zhob** have successfully activated all their previously non-functional schools.

Further details from the report indicate the following progress in individual districts:

* **Awaran**: 103 out of 136 schools reactivated.
* **Barkhan**: All 140 non-functional schools reactivated.
* **Chaman**: 44 out of 58 schools reactivated.
* **Gwadar**: 54 out of 69 schools reactivated.
* **Jhal Magsi**: 27 out of 42 schools reactivated.
* **Qilla Abdullah**: 120 out of 130 schools reactivated.
* **Qilla Saifullah**: 18 out of 175 schools reactivated.
* **Kachi**: 150 out of 160 schools reactivated.
* **Kech**: 13 out of 115 schools reactivated.
* **Loralai**: 64 out of 108 schools reactivated.
* **Mastung**: 82 out of 92 schools reactivated.
* **Musa Khel**: 107 out of 108 schools reactivated.
* **Panjgur**: 81 out of 86 schools reactivated.
* **Pishin**: 222 out of 245 schools reactivated.
* **Sherani**: 44 out of 59 schools reactivated.
* **Sibi**: 48 out of 83 schools reactivated.
* **Surab**: 62 out of 71 schools reactivated.
* **Usta Mohammad**: 70 out of 91 schools reactivated.
* **Ziarat**: 58 out of 62 schools reactivated.

With these reactivations, the provincial education department is working hard to ensure that every child has access to quality education across the province.
