Electricity Prices Increased Nationwide, Reduced for Karachi: NEPRA Issues Notification

Islamabad: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has announced an increase of Rs 0.93 per unit in electricity prices across the country, while reducing the tariff by Rs 2.99 per unit for Karachi.
According to the notification issued by NEPRA, the hike is based on the monthly fuel cost adjustment (FCA) for April and will be reflected in electricity bills for the month of June. However, the increase will not apply to K-Electric consumers, lifeline users, and electric vehicle charging stations.
Meanwhile, a separate notification has been issued for K-Electric, confirming a reduction of Rs 2.99 per unit in electricity prices. This decrease is based on the FCA for the month of March and will also be reflected in June’s bills, providing relief to Karachi consumers.
