Saudi Arabia Completes Advanced Preparations at Masjid Nimrah for Hajj 2025 Pilgrims

Mina – The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has announced that all preparations at **Masjid Nimrah** in Arafat have been completed ahead of **Hajj 2025**, ensuring maximum comfort and safety for pilgrims performing the pivotal ritual of **Wuquf-e-Arafah**.
According to the **Saudi Press Agency**, a total of **125,000 square meters** of high-quality carpets have been laid inside the mosque to provide a comfortable prayer environment.
### Key Enhancements Include:
* **19 modern canopies** have been installed, reducing ambient temperature by up to **10°C**.
* The flooring has been treated with **heat-reflective paint** to counter the effects of extreme sunlight.
* **117 fog fans** in the outdoor courtyards help reduce temperatures by an additional **9°C**.
* An advanced **air conditioning and ventilation system** monitors CO₂ levels and automatically activates **air purifiers** as needed.
* **70 water coolers** have been deployed, each capable of serving cold water to around **2,000 pilgrims per hour**.
* The mosque is equipped with a **state-of-the-art sound system** and **surveillance cameras** to ensure crowd safety and communication.
Over **1.4 million pilgrims** from around the world are expected to participate in this year’s pilgrimage. On **9th Dhul-Hijjah**, pilgrims will gather at **Mount Arafat**, listen to the **Hajj sermon**, and perform **combined Zuhr and Asr prayers** before spending the afternoon in supplication during the **Wuquf** – the most essential rite of Hajj.
These upgrades highlight Saudi Arabia’s commitment to ensuring a safe, spiritual, and well-managed experience for all attending pilgrims.
