Lahore: Viral sensation Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, known for his off-key singing videos, has hit back at critics and boldly declared himself the best singer. In a recent appearance on a private television show, Khan addressed the backlash he has faced and dismissed the criticism surrounding his music.
Khan stated that many people are jealous of his talent and refuse to acknowledge his artistry. According to him, some singers even refuse to perform at events where he is invited, out of arrogance. He emphasized that he composes his own music and is unfazed by whether people consider him a real singer or not.
Addressing criticism over his song “Bado Badi,” Khan asserted that his version is different from the original and that the negative commentary is baseless. He remarked that even legendary figures like Noor Jehan and Mumtaz did not gain fame solely through the original song, adding that his version is intended for women and should not be unfairly judged.
Khan concluded by saying that people ask him foolish questions, but he continues to do what makes him happy. “Let the critics talk — it doesn’t affect me,” he said confidently.
