Lahore: Mahira Khan’s stunning Pashtun-inspired look in the recently released song Sada Aashna from the upcoming film Love Guru has become the talk of the fashion world. The song, a vibrant wedding track in Pashto, was recently uploaded on ARY Digital’s official YouTube channel, quickly garnering over 36,000 views within hours of release.
In the video, Mahira appears as a traditional Pashtun bride, dressed in a vibrant mustard yellow ensemble designed by renowned Pakistani designer Zainab Salman. The intricately crafted outfit features gold sequins, pearls, and detailed threadwork in mustard and green, finished with a wide embellished border. The dress includes a flared kalidaar with a black koti-style bodice and matching mustard sharara pants.
According to Zainab Salman’s official website, the full outfit — including the dupatta — is priced at PKR 140,000. However, Mahira chose a unique personal touch for her look in the song.
Instead of wearing the designer dupatta, Mahira styled the outfit with a dupatta from her own mayun ceremony, draped over her shoulder. She completed the look with a striking red, heavily embroidered dupatta on her head. The mayun dupatta was originally designed by Zara Shahjahan, and it had previously received praise for complementing Mahira beautifully at her pre-wedding event.
