Karachi Shaken by Fourth Earthquake Tremor Since Yesterday, Citizens in Panic

Karachi: Since yesterday evening, Karachi has experienced four earthquake tremors at different intervals, sparking widespread fear and panic among residents across the city.
According to reports, tremors were again felt near Landhi and Malir, with locals stating the latest shake occurred around 10:30 AM. The Seismic Center confirmed that the tremor registering a magnitude of 3.2 on the Richter scale originated near Quaidabad, with an underground depth of 10 kilometers.
The first tremor was recorded just after midnight at approximately 1:12 AM, followed by two more strong shocks between 1:30 and 1:45 AM. Earlier, another tremor was felt around 5 PM the previous day.
The earthquakes were notably felt in areas including Quaidabad, Malir, Landhi, Shah Faisal Town, Korangi, Majeed Colony, Sherpao, and surrounding localities.
The tremors were so intense that residents rushed out of their homes, engaging in prayers, chanting “Allah Akbar,” seeking forgiveness, and reciting supplications. Some homes suffered cracks in their walls, and the noise of disturbed birds was heard throughout the area.
Mosques in various neighborhoods broadcasted the call to prayer (Azan), while a large number of citizens remained outside, too frightened to return indoors.
The Meteorological and Seismic Centers confirmed that these tremors were mild in nature. However, the incidents have nonetheless caused considerable distress and anxiety among the population.
