PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif Claims Credit for Pakistan’s Development in Media Talk

Lahore:Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former Prime Minister **Nawaz Sharif** asserted on Sunday that his party has played an unmatched role in the nation’s development, saying that “no other political party can claim a contribution like the PML-N’s.”
While speaking to journalists, Nawaz Sharif said that the country was **gradually stabilizing** after what he described as severe mismanagement by the previous government.
> “The country is returning to stability. The economy is improving. People vote for performance — and politics must be backed by real work,” he stated.
Sharif credited his party with numerous major national achievements, including:
* The development of **motorways and road infrastructure**
* Stabilization of the **Pakistani rupee** during his tenure
* Construction of **dams and power plants**
* Making **Pakistan a nuclear power**
* The **JF-17 Thunder** fighter jet developed in collaboration with China
* Introduction of **missile technology**
> “Our contribution goes beyond infrastructure. It includes technological advancement and national security. The PML-N gave Pakistan its nuclear and missile capabilities,” he added.
Sharif emphasized the need for the nation to be grateful and aware of which leaders have **tangibly contributed to national progress**, urging citizens to recognize “who did what” for Pakistan.
This statement comes amid increasing political activity ahead of the national budget and as parties position themselves on issues of governance, economy, and national pride.
