Saudi Arabia Announces Start of Umrah Season from June 11, 2025, Following Hajj

Riyadh: The Saudi government has officially announced the beginning of the Umrah season for the year 2025, confirming that it will commence on June 11, 2025, immediately after the conclusion of Hajj.
According to the statement, Umrah visas will start being issued from June 10, allowing pilgrims from around the world to begin arriving at the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah shortly thereafter.
This announcement comes at a time when the Saudi National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has forecast extreme heat during the Hajj season. Temperatures at the holy sites are expected to soar up to 47°C (116.6°F) during the daytime, while nighttime temperatures may range from 27°C to 32°C. Humidity levels are projected to vary between 15% and 60%, potentially increasing the physical challenges for pilgrims.
The meteorological department has urged pilgrims to take necessary precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses, including staying hydrated, avoiding direct sun exposure, and limiting outdoor activities during peak heat hours.
The start of the post-Hajj Umrah season provides a valuable opportunity for millions of Muslims, especially those unable to perform Hajj, to visit the Two Holy Mosques and fulfill their spiritual aspirations.
