Rain and Windstorms Kill 10, Injure 30 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: PDMA

Peshawar – The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released a report detailing the damages caused by heavy rains and windstorms across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since May 27. According to the report, 10 people have lost their lives and 30 others sustained injuries in weather-related incidents.
Among the deceased are 5 men, 3 women, and 2 children, while the injured include 13 men, 10 women, and 7 children. The storms also caused structural damage to 34 houses, of which 2 were completely destroyed and 32 were partially damaged.
Incidents were reported in multiple districts including Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, and Shangla, with additional damage recorded in Lower Dir, Swat, Torghar, Bajaur, Mohmand, Mansehra, and Haripur.
The PDMA has warned that the rain and windstorm pattern is expected to continue until May 31, urging residents in affected and vulnerable areas to take precautions and remain updated on weather advisories.
