Pakistan Expresses Deep Concern Over Rising Islamophobia in India

Islamabad:Pakistan has voiced serious concern over the alarming rise of Islamophobia in India, urging New Delhi to ensure the protection and rights of all religious communities beyond the bounds of religion.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office spokesperson, Pakistan is deeply troubled by the escalating incidents of Islamophobia in India. The spokesperson emphasized that hate speech, discriminatory actions, and state interference targeting Muslims are a matter of grave concern for the international community.
The statement further urged the Indian government to uphold the rights and safety of citizens from all religious backgrounds and to refrain from inciting religious hatred for political or ideological purposes.
“At a time when tolerance and reconciliation are critically needed, the deliberate stoking of religious animosity undermines international human rights obligations and threatens regional peace and harmony,” the spokesperson added.
