Pakistan Expresses Deep Concern Over Rising Islamophobia in India

Pakistan has voiced serious concern over the growing incidents of Islamophobia in India, with the Foreign Office spokesperson warning that the alarming rise in such incidents is being closely monitored.

In a strong statement, the spokesperson condemned the targeting of Muslims in India through hate speech, discriminatory policies, and state-sponsored actions. He stressed that these actions not only constitute severe human rights violations but also pose a threat to regional peace and stability.

“Pakistan is deeply alarmed by the increasing Islamophobic trends in India and calls upon the Indian government to ensure religious freedom, protection, and equal rights for all citizens, regardless of their faith,” the spokesperson said.

The Foreign Office emphasized that at a time when the world needs tolerance, reconciliation, and interfaith harmony more than ever, the exploitation of religious hatred for political or ideological gain is deeply regrettable.

Pakistan also urged the international community to take urgent notice of the rising extremism against Muslims in India and to ensure the protection of minority rights through concrete and timely action.
