Auction Process Begins for Bahria Town and Malik Riaz’s Seized Illegal Properties

Islamabad: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated the auction process for properties seized from Bahria Town and its founder Malik Riaz in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, and Dera Ghazi Khan. Official committees have been formed, and advertisements have been published to proceed with the sale.
As per legal procedure, advertisements have been issued for the auction of properties located in Bahria Town Phase II, Phase IV, and Safari Villas. The properties on auction include a cinema, wedding hall, Safari Park, school, and the Bahria Town Head Office.
The public auction of these immovable assets is being conducted under Section 33E of the NAB Ordinance 1999 to recover defaulted amounts.
It is worth noting that Bahria Town had already entered into a plea bargain with NAB regarding these properties.
