Turkish President Erdogan Hosts PM Shehbaz Sharif, Reaffirms Brotherhood and Bilateral Ties

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his pleasure at hosting Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation during their official visit to Türkiye. In a message posted on social media platform X, President Erdogan, writing in Turkish, stated that he had productive discussions with PM Sharif on various key issues including the economy, trade, and security.
Erdogan emphasized the mutual desire to further strengthen the relationship between Türkiye and Pakistan across all sectors. “Through the Prime Minister of Pakistan, I send my heartfelt greetings to our Pakistani brothers,” he said. He thanked the Pakistani delegation for their visit and prayed for the continued unity and brotherhood between the two nations.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also shared a message on X, referring to President Erdogan as a “dear brother” and expressing gratitude for his warm hospitality. PM Sharif stated that it was an honor to meet President Erdogan in Istanbul and thanked him for Türkiye’s unwavering support during the recent Pakistan-India dispute, which he described as leading to a “remarkable victory” for Pakistan.
The Pakistani Prime Minister conveyed the sentiments of appreciation from the people of Pakistan to their Turkish brothers and sisters. He added that the meeting included a review of ongoing progress in bilateral relations, especially in trade and investment.
PM Sharif reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to further deepen their “unbreakable brotherly ties” and continue working together in close cooperation.
