Islamabad Traffic Police Takes Firm Action to Improve City’s Traffic System

Islamabad:The **Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP)** has intensified its efforts to enhance traffic discipline in the capital, taking strict action against violators over the past week.

According to the latest **weekly performance report** released by the ITP, **1,052 vehicles** were impounded for various traffic violations. Additionally, **740 motorcycles** and **312 vehicles** were fined for breaking traffic laws.

The report further revealed that:

* **98 vehicles** were penalized for using **black tinted windows**,
* **114 drivers** were fined for **using mobile phones while driving**,
* **3,015 vehicles** were ticketed for **illegal parking**, and
* **384 drivers** were fined for **not wearing seatbelts**.

In a separate violation, **634 motorcyclists** were issued tickets for **not wearing helmets** while driving.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) **Captain (R) Syed Zeeshan Haider** emphasized that enforcement against traffic violations is being carried out **without discrimination**. He reiterated that **strict measures are in place** against those involved in illegal parking and other violations.

He urged citizens to **respect traffic laws** for their own safety and to ensure a smooth and secure travel experience for all road users.
