Fifth Student Dies After Khuzdar School Bus Attack, Death Toll Rises to 5 — Pakistan Blames Indian-Backed Militants

Khuzdar, Balochistan:Another student critically injured in the terrorist attack on a school bus in Khuzdar has succumbed to injuries, raising the death toll to five. The attack, which Pakistani authorities allege was carried out by militants backed by India under the banner of “Fitna-e-Hindustan,” has left the nation in grief and outrage.
According to security sources, the student, identified as *Haider*, was seriously wounded during the ambush and died during treatment. The deceased now include four girls and one boy, all schoolchildren who were targeted while on their way to school.
The attack has been condemned as a cowardly act of terror. Officials claim it is part of a broader campaign of destabilization allegedly orchestrated by India in response to its failures and setbacks in the region. “India, after facing diplomatic humiliation and strategic failure, has turned to cowardly proxy warfare,” one security official stated.
Authorities claim India is using proxy militant groups to fuel unrest in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “The blood of these innocent children will not go unavenged. Those behind Fitna-e-Hindustan and their Indian sponsors will be held accountable,” the official added.
The students killed in the attack include *Sania Soomro* (Grade 6), *Hafsa Kausar* (Grade 7), and *Ayesha Saleem* (Grade 10). Several other children were injured and remain under treatment in local hospitals.
The incident has triggered widespread condemnation across Pakistan, with calls for international awareness of what officials describe as Indian-sponsored terrorism. The government has vowed to bring the perpetrators and their supporters to justice.
