ANP Condemns Killings of Innocent Children in Waziristan and Khuzdar, Calls for an End to Terrorism

Quetta:The provincial statement issued by the Awami National Party (ANP) has expressed deep concern over the recent killings of innocent children and women in Waziristan and Khuzdar, condemning the acts of violence as unforgivable crimes.

The party emphasized that whether the children are from Waziristan or Balochistan, they are innocent and should not be subjected to such brutality. The statement further stated that as long as the imposed terrorism and war economy in Pashtunkhwa and Balochistan continue, children, women, and elderly from both the Pashtun and Baloch communities will keep suffering as collateral damage.

The ANP strongly condemned the bombing of innocent children and women in Waziristan, describing it not only as an indefensible act but also a grave injustice. The statement questioned the morality of targeting one’s own children with fighter jets, asking where the justice lies in such actions. It noted that Pashtun blood has been spilled for over five decades, sacrificed for the interests of foreign powers, leaving it soaked in blood.

The statement further added that terrorism and extremism, whether by individuals, groups, sects, governments, or states, are unacceptable and must be condemned. Referring to the Khuzdar attack, the ANP expressed that targeting innocent schoolgirls was not just a stain on humanity but also a dark mark on the province’s values, traditions, and history.

The party also pointed out that the terrorism imposed on Pashtunkhwa and Balochistan is designed to loot the region’s resources, with innocent children, elderly, and women falling victim to this violence. The result is rapidly growing feelings of alienation and disenfranchisement among the people of Pashtunkhwa and Balochistan.
