Emotional Moments as Army Chief Leads Fajr Prayer Before Strike on India: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) – Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has revealed that Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir led the Fajr prayer before a military operation against India, calling the moment deeply emotional.
During his visit to CMH Sialkot, the Defence Minister met with Pakistani soldiers injured during the recent escalation along the India-Pakistan border. Accompanied by GOC 15 Division Major General Imran Khan Babar, he was briefed on the health status of the wounded soldiers.
Speaking to the media, Asif expressed his pride in meeting the brave soldiers who were wounded defending the nation. He noted that more than 100 shells were fired at one of Pakistan’s check posts during the clash, but morale among the troops remains high.
“These young men are eager to return to the battlefield after recovery,” said Asif, highlighting their resilience and commitment to the country’s defence.
He emphasized the critical role of Pakistan’s armed forces in safeguarding national sovereignty, declaring that after 78 years, the country had achieved “complete freedom.”
“The courage and patriotism of the heads of all three armed forces are unmatched. In one night, we proved we can defend our nation’s integrity,” he added.
Asif warned India of severe consequences in case of future aggression, asserting that the entire nation stands united with the armed forces “like a wall of steel.”
He concluded by reiterating the emotional significance of the Fajr prayer led by the army chief before the operation, stating, “The nation is forever grateful to our brave soldiers.”
