Gold Prices See Significant Rise in Pakistan After Days of Decline
Karachi:After a brief downward trend, gold prices have seen a notable increase both locally and internationally. On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, gold prices across various cities in Pakistan surged significantly following a rise in the international market.
According to the *All Pakistan Sarafa Jewelers Association*, the price of 24-carat gold per tola (11.66 grams) rose by **7,800 PKR**, bringing it to **350,000 PKR**, up from **342,200 PKR** the previous day. Similarly, the price of **24-carat 10-gram gold** surged by **6,687 PKR**, reaching **300,068 PKR**, up from **293,381 PKR**.
For **22-carat 10-gram gold**, there was a hike of **6,130 PKR**, pushing the price from **268,942 PKR** to **275,072 PKR**.
In addition to gold, the price of **silver** also saw an increase. The price of **1 tola of silver** went up by **43 PKR**, reaching **3,425 PKR**, while **10 grams of silver** rose by **37 PKR**, reaching **2,936 PKR**.
In the **international market**, gold prices rose by **76 USD**, increasing from **3,240 USD** per ounce to **3,316 USD**. Silver also saw a slight increase, rising by **0.43 USD**, with the price now standing at **32.43 USD** per ounce.
These price hikes come as a result of both local and international market trends, and are expected to remain stable until the *Association’s* new price announcement later in the afternoon.
