Heavy Rains, Hailstorm, and Strong Winds Sweep Sindh, Causing Loss of Lives and Damage

Sindh:The ongoing spell of heavy rains, accompanied by strong winds and hailstorms, has wreaked havoc in various cities of Sindh. The storms have caused widespread damage, with reports indicating two fatalities and four injuries due to accidents caused by the severe weather conditions.
In areas like Jacobabad, Larkana, and Ghotki, low-lying areas have been submerged as a result of the heavy rains. Additionally, power supply has been disrupted in several cities, including Sukkur and Hyderabad, due to the high-speed winds.
In Dadu, a dust storm caused multiple trees and electricity poles to fall. The severe weather also led to a tragic incident in Padhidan, where two people lost their lives, and in Mehar, four people were injured.
Meanwhile, in Punjab, the weather has taken a pleasant turn due to rain, with light showers in Lahore and more significant downpours in regions like Rajanpur, Lodhran, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Karak, a flood-induced stream claimed one life and left another person missing, while several livestock, including sheep and goats, were swept away by the floodwaters.
These extreme weather conditions have created significant disruptions, affecting daily life and causing widespread damage in several regions. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation, and rescue operations are underway.
