Karachi: Annual Intermediate Exams Begin Today with Over 126,500 Students Participating

Karachi:The annual Intermediate exams under the Karachi Board of Education will commence today, with more than 126,500 students set to participate. The first phase of the 2025 exams for the 11th and 12th grades in various groups—including Science, Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, General Science, Home Economics, Improvement of Grades/Divisions, Additional Subjects, Benefit Cases, Short Subjects, TP (12 papers), and Special Chance—will begin on Monday, May 5th.

These exams will run until Thursday, May 29, 2025, and will be conducted in both morning and evening shifts. Over 126,500 candidates will take part in the exams, with 92,000 students appearing in the morning shift and around 34,500 in the evening shift.

The morning shift will take place from 9 AM to 12 PM, covering the Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, and Home Economics groups, while the evening shift will be from 2 PM to 5 PM for the General Science group.

For the 2025 Intermediate exams, a total of 182 examination centers have been established, with 122 centers designated for the morning shift and 60 for the evening shift. Among these, 36 centers have been identified as highly sensitive and will be under strict monitoring.

The start of the annual exams is a significant event for students, and authorities have made all arrangements to ensure smooth and secure conduct of the exams.
