Riyadh: The Saudi Department of Passport has announced that, through its administrative committees, 14,800 decisions were made over the course of one month (Shawwal 1446) regarding violations of residency, employment, and border security laws.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the department’s statement mentioned that actions were taken against both Saudi citizens and foreign residents who violated the laws. The penalties imposed included imprisonment, fines, and deportation.
The Passport Department has once again urged local citizens and foreign residents to refrain from providing any form of assistance, including transport, employment, accommodation, or shelter, to individuals who violate these laws. They also warned against any attempts to cover up or cooperate with lawbreakers.
