Minerals Bill Will Not Pass Without Meeting Imran Khan, Says PTI KP President

PESHAWAR – PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar has revealed that party founder Imran Khan has instructed that the proposed Minerals Bill must not be passed until he is personally briefed on the matter.
Speaking to Geo News, Akbar stated that Imran Khan has issued clear directives to PTI lawmakers to withhold support for the bill until further notice. “I have communicated the founder’s orders to all PTI members,” he said.
He added that Imran Khan has emphasized the need for a direct meeting before any approval of the legislation. In preparation, Junaid Akbar also formed a three-member committee to review the bill, and the committee has submitted its report to the central leadership.
The move highlights PTI’s cautious approach towards resource legislation and Imran Khan’s continued influence over key policy decisions, despite his current circumstances.
