Four Dead, 25 Injured as Bus Overturns in Karachi; Woman Crushed by Tanker, Vehicle Set Ablaze by Angry Mob

Karachi:A tragic road accident occurred near the shrine of Samandari Baba in Gulshan-e-Hadid, Karachi, where a passenger bus overturned, resulting in the deaths of four people, including two women, and injuries to at least 25 others.
Rescue officials confirmed that the deceased were identified as 60-year-old Panna, wife of Muhammad Ali, 35-year-old Kausar, 59-year-old Abdul Ghafoor, and 25-year-old Ghulam Fareed. The bodies and eight of the injured were shifted to Jinnah Hospital. Rescue teams continue to carry out relief operations at the site.
In a separate incident near Korangi Crossing, a speeding oil tanker ran over a woman, leading to her death. In the aftermath, enraged locals set the tanker on fire. The driver fled the scene while the vehicle’s cleaner was reportedly beaten by the mob.
Despite existing regulations, heavy vehicles continue to pose a serious threat on Karachi’s roads, raising concerns over enforcement and public safety.
