NADRA Launches Mobile App to Simplify Birth and Death Registration for Citizens

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a new mobile application aimed at making the registration of births and deaths more accessible for citizens. According to media reports, the newly launched app allows users to easily update their marital status, as well as register the births and deaths of their loved ones.

Through this mobile app, citizens will be able to update vital information related to their personal status and family events such as births and deaths in NADRA’s official records. The app aims to streamline and simplify these processes, making them more convenient for the public.

The announcement of the new app was made during the second meeting of the National Registration and Biometric Policy Framework Implementation Committee. Representatives from various federal ministries, regulatory authorities, and provincial departments attended the meeting.

NADRA Chairman, Lieutenant General (retd) Muhammad Munir, briefed the participants about the recent improvements in the national registration system. He explained that the mobile application would enable citizens to register life events online from the comfort of their homes, without needing to visit NADRA offices.

Initially, the mobile app will be rolled out in Punjab, with plans for wider expansion in the future. The launch is expected to improve the efficiency of the registration process, saving time and effort for the public.
