Sindh Government Launches People’s Pink and Normal Taxi Service

KARACHI: In a major step towards modernizing public transport, the Sindh government has officially launched the “People’s Pink and Normal Taxi Service” under the guidance of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Sindh’s Senior Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, announced the launch and described the initiative as a “historic milestone for Sindh.” He emphasized that the project aims to empower women, ensure safer travel, and promote eco-friendly transportation across the province.
In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Minister Memon stated that the service reflects the government’s commitment to providing equal opportunities and a modern transport system for all segments of society.
