Severe Heatwave Continues Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; Rain and Strong Winds Expected in Upper Regions

Peshawar – A severe heatwave is gripping various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasting continued hot and dry weather across most districts. However, isolated rain and strong winds are expected in some upper regions of the province.
According to weather experts, most areas will experience intense heat, while higher altitude locations may receive brief spells of rain accompanied by gusty winds. In cities like Peshawar, Kurram, Orakzai, and parts of Mohmand district, there is a likelihood of scattered showers with winds.
In Peshawar, the weather will remain partly cloudy, with intervals of sunshine as clouds and the sun continue to alternate throughout the day. The city is expected to record a minimum temperature of 33°C, with a maximum possibly rising to 41°C. Humidity levels in Peshawar have been recorded at 22%.
Other major areas in the province are also expected to experience extreme temperatures. In Kalam, the temperature may drop as low as 10°C, while Dera Ismail Khan could see the mercury rise to a scorching 45°C.

Timergara: 39°C
Mir Khwani: 35°C
Bannu: 44°C
Balakot: 38°C
Takht Bhai: 40°C
The Meteorological Department has advised residents to take precautionary measures to protect themselves from the intense heat.
