Youth Are Pakistan’s Greatest Asset, Says Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail

Quetta: Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail addressed participants at a one-day seminar organized at BUITEMS University in Quetta under the theme of “Paigham-e-Pakistan.” Speaking at the event, he emphasized the crucial role of youth in shaping the nation’s future and present, calling them Pakistan’s greatest asset.
The governor praised the seminar as a timely and commendable initiative, stating that proper and timely training of young people is essential to guide them on the right path. He also stressed that those who mentor and advise youth must themselves set an example by practicing what they preach, thereby becoming role models for the new generation.
The seminar was attended by a large number of university students, along with BUITEMS Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez, Director General of the Islamic Research Institute Islamabad Dr. Zia-ul-Haq, and Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Meerwais Kasi.
Governor Mandokhail acknowledged the efforts of the International Islamic University Islamabad and the Islamic Research Institute in organizing the seminar, expressing hope that such efforts will yield positive results in promoting unity and sustainable peace in the province and the country.
He highlighted the challenges Pakistan currently faces, including extremism, violence, sectarianism, and hate, urging the nation to overcome these divisions by promoting national unity and intellectual harmony. “Only by unleashing the true potential of our youth can we move towards a stronger and more peaceful Pakistan,” he said.
Mandokhail also underscored the importance of creating opportunities and providing essential facilities to help youth contribute meaningfully to the country’s development.
Concluding his speech, the governor called for collective efforts to build a more stable, prosperous, and democratic Pakistan guided by the Constitution and democratic values. He stressed the need to eliminate divisive elements and foster broader national consensus to lay a new foundation for progress. “It is time,” he said, “to realize the dreams of our forefathers and take Pakistan to new heights of development, peace, and prosperity.”
