Explosion at Oil-Filled Truck in Nushki Injures Over 40, Including Police and Firefighters

Nushki, Balochistan – April 28:A powerful explosion occurred near a truck terminal in Nushki district after a fire broke out in an oil-filled tanker, leaving more than 40 people injured, including police personnel and firefighters.
According to local reports, the blaze began near the truck terminal and quickly spread to an oil tanker, triggering a massive explosion. Many civilians present at the site sustained severe burn injuries. Rescue officials stated that numerous victims were rushed to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment.
Among the injured were four police officers who were helping evacuate the area when the blast occurred. Additionally, firefighters who were attempting to extinguish the fire suffered serious burns due to their proximity to the explosion. A fire brigade vehicle also caught fire during the rescue operation.
Hospital sources confirmed that the critically injured individuals would be transferred to Quetta for advanced medical care. Authorities reported that several victims sustained 70% to 80% burn injuries and will be airlifted to Quetta via helicopter.
The district administration confirmed in a statement that over 40 people were injured in the explosion, which occurred as emergency teams attempted to control the fire in the tanker’s fuel tank.
