“Sindh Government Resolves Disputed Canal Issue Under Bilawal Bhutto’s Leadership: Shahryar Meman Urges Protesters to End Demonstrations”

Karachi: Senior Provincial Minister of Sindh, Sharjeel Inam Memon, announced that the dispute over the canals has been resolved and fully concluded under the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. In a statement, Memon emphasized that the issue was effectively addressed due to Bilawal Bhutto’s tireless efforts and strategic approach.
The Minister added that after the official meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI) scheduled for May 2, this matter will be permanently closed. He urged all political parties and the legal fraternity to open the roads immediately, pointing out that the ongoing blockages are causing severe economic and social losses.
Sharjeel Memon also stressed the need to restore the smooth flow of goods transport, as road blockages are heavily impacting public life, agriculture, livestock, imports, exports, and the poor sectors of society. He appealed to protesters to call off the sit-ins and at least allow the roads to be opened for traffic, ensuring that protests remain peaceful and public life can return to normal.
The Senior Minister mentioned that the Sindh Government is in continuous dialogue with political parties and the legal community and is ready for negotiations with all parties involved. He called on these groups to keep a watchful eye on miscreants, ensuring that the protests stay constructive and lawful.
Memon concluded by urging everyone to make wise decisions in the current national situation, stressing the importance of unity and mutual understanding.
