Former Judge Tariq Jahangiri Files Appeal Against Removal, Challenges IHC Verdict

Islamabad: Former Islamabad High Court judge Tariq Jahangiri has filed an appeal against his removal from office, marking a significant development in the case.

According to Express News, Tariq Jahangiri has approached the Federal Constitutional Court, formally challenging the decision to remove him as a judge.

In his appeal, the former judge has requested that the Islamabad High Court’s verdict be declared null and void, arguing that he was removed from office without fulfilling the required legal and constitutional procedures.

The petition states that the decision to dismiss him is in violation of constitutional and legal principles.

It is pertinent to note that Tariq Jahangiri was removed from his position as a judge of the Islamabad High Court on December 18, 2025. He has now challenged that decision before the Federal Constitutional Court.
