Global Oil Prices Edge Higher After Houthi Attacks on Saudi Facilities

ISLAMABAD:Global crude oil prices edged higher after Yemen’s Houthi rebels attacked a military training camp and again targeted Saudi Arabia’s energy infrastructure, airports and military installations.
According to reports, Brent crude futures rose by 17 cents, or 0.15 percent, to reach $110.03 per barrel.
Earlier in the trading session, Brent prices had fallen by more than $3 per barrel as investors took profits.
Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures also increased by $1.68, or 1.66 percent, to reach $103.09 per barrel.
The latest developments have heightened concerns over regional security and potential disruptions to global energy supplies, contributing to renewed upward pressure on oil prices.
