PM Shehbaz Sharif: Pakistani Youth Can Play Key Role in Promoting Cryptocurrency

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said on Sunday that Pakistan’s talented youth have the potential to play a vital role in promoting cryptocurrency in the country. He emphasized that work is progressing rapidly to introduce alternative modes of financial transactions such as cryptocurrency, and Pakistan is among the fastest economies adopting this digital innovation.

According to a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing, PM Shehbaz made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation led by Zach Vaitkoff, Co-Chairman of the global finance company World Liberty Financial.

The Prime Minister highlighted that Pakistan offers attractive investment opportunities across various sectors and that the regulatory framework for cryptocurrency and other digital financial systems is being developed at an accelerated pace.

The visiting delegation expressed keen interest in investing in Pakistan’s growing crypto sector.

Speaking during the meeting, Zach Vaitkoff said, “Pakistan is one of the world’s fastest-emerging economies with great potential. The country’s natural resources present highly attractive opportunities for global investors.” He also praised Pakistan’s growing regional and global influence and its key role in promoting peace.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Economic Affairs Minister Ahad Khan Cheema, and other senior officials.
