Tragic Accident in Karachi’s SITE Area: Student Killed, Another Injured by Speeding Trailer

Karachi: A tragic traffic accident occurred last night near Ghani Chowrangi in Karachi’s SITE area, where a speeding trailer ran over two motorcyclists.
According to rescue sources, 24-year-old Sameer Alam, a student who had come to the SITE area for work, lost his life in the accident. The other individual, Uzair, sustained injuries but is reported to be out of danger.
Family members stated that both victims were traveling from Hub Chowki to SITE area for some work when the incident happened. After the accident, the trailer driver fled the scene.
With this incident, the number of traffic-related fatalities in Karachi this year has risen to 297. Rescue sources highlight that heavy vehicles have been responsible for 95 of these deaths, with the majority of the victims being men. Among the deceased are also 27 women and 40 children. The number of those injured in various traffic accidents has surpassed 4,000.
