“‘Yesterday’s Punch Still Fresh’: Usman Khan Signals Obaid Shah to Stay Away After Wicket Celebration”

Lahore – During PSL 10, a light-hearted yet telling moment occurred when Multan Sultans’ fast bowler Obaid Shah celebrated a wicket only to be signaled away by wicketkeeper Usman Khan.
The incident took place at the start of Islamabad United’s innings when Obaid Shah dismissed opener Sahibzada Farhan. As he rushed forward to celebrate, Usman Khan gestured for him to stay back, seemingly recalling an incident from the previous match. In that earlier game, Obaid accidentally struck Usman on the face while celebrating a wicket, causing the keeper to fall to the ground.
The video of the latest exchange has gone viral on social media, sparking a wave of humorous reactions. One user commented, “Obaid gets carried away in the heat of the moment.” Another joked, “Now everyone will fear Obaid.” A user named Murott wrote, “Usman Khan remembered yesterday’s punch.”
Rashid Ali remarked, “Obaid Shah has truly scared Usman,” while another user quipped, “Obaid bhai must be thinking, ‘It’s just my charisma.’”
The playful yet cautious gesture by Usman highlights both the intensity and the camaraderie that characterize the Pakistan Super League.
