PECA Act: 23 Cases Filed Against Individuals Involved in Anti-State Activities in 24 Hours

Lahore: A total of 23 cases have been registered under the PECA (Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act) in just 24 hours against individuals involved in anti-state activities. According to police officials, these actions are related to the creation or upload of inappropriate videos targeting important political and government figures.
Following the direction of DIG (Investigation) Syed Zeeshan Raza, a crackdown is underway against those uploading fake videos on social media. These individuals are involved in spreading defamatory and objectionable content related to national institutions.
Police authorities confirmed that several cases have been filed across different police stations in Lahore under the PECA Act. The authorities have stressed that no leniency will be shown to those involved in the promotion of offensive or obscene material aimed at discrediting national institutions.
DIG Investigation emphasized that these actions are aimed at creating unrest in society and fostering hatred against state institutions. The police are committed to collecting all legal evidence to prepare strong charges against the culprits, ensuring they are held accountable and brought to justice.
