Bizarre Robbery in Lahore: Victim Drives Robber Home, Gets Looted, Then Drops Him Off

Lahore:In a robbery that sounds more like a film plot than real life, a man in Lahore’s **Shalimar** area was forced to take a robber to his home, watch him loot valuables, and then drop him back — all under the threat of a supposed bomb.
The incident took place on the morning of **April 19**, when citizen **Hassan Shehzad** was on his motorcycle near **Sethan Wali Baghichi**. According to the victim, a pedestrian stopped him to ask for directions, then slipped a device into his pocket claiming it was a bomb. The robber threatened to detonate it if Hassan resisted, and ordered him to take him to his home.
Once at the house, the robber took away **jewelry, cash, mobile phones**, and **credit cards**, and then calmly instructed Hassan to **drop him off**.
CCTV footage later surfaced showing the robber riding on the back of Hassan’s motorcycle, confirming the unusual series of events.
Surprisingly, police took **two days** to file a case, and instead of registering it as a robbery, they initially logged it under **theft and fraud**. SP **Asar Ali Chaudhry** confirmed that a case has now been officially filed, and a **team has been formed to arrest the suspect**. He added that the delay in registering the FIR and the choice of charges are being investigated, and the local **SHO has been asked to explain** the oversight.
The incident has left locals stunned and raised serious questions about public safety and the police response to such audacious crimes.
