Pakistan Issues Tender to Procure One Spot LNG Cargo

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has issued a tender to purchase a single spot cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in an effort to meet its energy requirements.

According to officials, the tender was floated by Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL), a company under the Petroleum Division. Bids from international suppliers have been invited, with the deadline set for June 4, and the bids will be opened on the same day.

PLL stated that the tender is for the supply of LNG scheduled between June 6 and June 7.

The procurement is part of Pakistan’s ongoing strategy to ensure adequate gas supply for the domestic energy sector through spot purchases from the global market.
