Army Chief Awards Participants of 8th International Pakistan Army Team Spirit Competition

Rawalpindi:The **8th International Pakistan Army Team Spirit Competition** concluded at **Kharian Garrison**, where Army Chief **General Asim Munir** awarded individual and team accolades to the participants of the event. The competition was held as part of efforts to enhance military capabilities and teamwork.
According to the **Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)**, the event featured teams from **Pakistan Army**, **Pakistan Navy**, and 15 international teams, including representatives from **Bahrain**, **Belarus**, **China**, **Saudi Arabia**, **Maldives**, **Morocco**, **Nepal**, **Qatar**, **Sri Lanka**, **Turkey**, **USA**, and **Uzbekistan**. **Bangladesh**, **Egypt**, **Germany**, **Kenya**, **Myanmar**, and **Thailand** also sent observers to witness the competition.
The exercise, which took place in the **semi-hilly terrain of Punjab**, involved a **60-hour long patrolling drill** aimed at enhancing modern combat skills. It was designed to promote team spirit, improve tactical training, and build strategic military expertise.
General Asim Munir, during the concluding ceremony, appreciated the role of such exercises in boosting professional military skills and fostering strategic learning. He remarked, “Exercises like these provide the perfect platform to improve military capabilities and promote team spirit in the changing landscape of warfare.”
The Army Chief also emphasized that **Pakistan Army** continues to maintain strong qualities of **character, courage**, and **competence**, which are vital in adapting to the evolving nature of warfare.
In the award ceremony, **individual** and **team awards** were distributed, acknowledging the top performers of the competition. International observers and defense attachés present at the ceremony appreciated the successful execution of the event and commended the professionalism displayed by all participating teams.
