Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Vows to Defeat Terrorists and Ensure National Security

Islamabad – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has pledged to deliver a crushing blow to terrorists, ensuring they will never dare to look at Pakistan with malicious intent. Speaking at a high-level meeting to review the country’s law and order situation, the Prime Minister emphasized that the ongoing battle against terrorism would continue until the country is free from all forms of extremism.

The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Sharif, was attended by Federal Ministers Azam Nazeer Tarar, Mohsin Naqvi, Ahmad Cheema, Ataullah Tarar, and Advisor to the Prime Minister on Inter-Provincial Coordination Rana Sanaullah, as well as State Minister Talal Chaudhry. Key officials including Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif, Home Ministers of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, and Chief Secretaries and IGPs from all provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir participated in the session. Chief Commissioner Islamabad, IGP Islamabad Police, and other relevant officials were also present.

During his address, Prime Minister Sharif said, “Our jihad to eradicate terrorism from the roots of this country will continue. We will defeat terrorists in such a way that they will never dare to cast an evil eye on Pakistan again.”

He further stated that Pakistan’s enemies were fearful of the country’s economic progress. The Prime Minister praised the efforts of all institutions and provinces in countering terrorism, acknowledging that the federal government would continue to work closely with the provinces to enhance their capabilities in combating terrorism and extremism.

“We must put aside all our differences and work together to end terrorism. Our brave security forces, both officers and personnel, are engaged in combating terrorists day and night,” Prime Minister Sharif added.

The Prime Minister also directed all agencies to intensify their efforts in combating smuggling, particularly human trafficking, and to tighten the noose around smuggling networks. He stressed the importance of bringing smugglers to justice.

In addition, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the urgent need to complete Safe City projects in major cities across the country, noting that both the federal and provincial governments were collaborating on counter-terrorism narratives, which he considered a positive development.
