Former Federal Minister Faisal Vawda Predicts PTI Will Become “PTI Pakistan” Like MQM Pakistan

Karachi:Former Federal Minister and Senator Faisal Vawda has predicted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is on its way to becoming “PTI Pakistan,” much like how Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan was formed. In an appearance on *Geo News* program *Aaj Shahzaib Khanzada Ke Saath*, Vawda claimed that there is now a race within PTI to become the “Alexander” of the party, referring to internal competition for leadership roles.
Vawda went on to comment on the current political climate, stating that the government and Army Chief are now working as “two bodies, but one soul,” implying a close working relationship. He criticized Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, stating that he is not performing in the same way as his brother, Nawaz Sharif, or former Prime Minister Imran Khan, and that PTI has now become the guarantor of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led government.
He added that PTI is now set to become a dominant force in the political landscape, similar to how MQM Pakistan rebranded itself. Vawda also declared that Imran Khan has become irrelevant in the party, as PTI is benefiting from his popularity while keeping him in jail. He stated that PTI doesn’t want to bring Imran Khan out of prison because they are capitalizing on his popularity.
Vawda further claimed that Imran Khan has realized that the party has betrayed him, and even overseas Pakistanis have stopped funding PTI. He also accused Ali Amin Gandapur, a senior PTI leader, of being exposed in front of the party’s founder. He alleged that the government has intervened to protect Gandapur from the fallout of these revelations.
This marks another chapter in the ongoing political reshuffling within PTI, as internal tensions continue to grow amid the party’s complex relationship with its leadership and founding figures.
