Land Grabbing Under the Guise of Settlement Sparks Concern in Ormara

Ormara:A serious controversy has emerged in Ormara over the alleged misuse of the land settlement process, where valuable plots are reportedly being distributed among favored individuals. This practice has raised deep concerns among local communities and political representatives.
Adam Qadir Bakhsh, Provincial Fishermen Secretary of the National Party, stated in his recent statement that while the initial land settlement in Ormara took place during the 1960s, a new round of settlements has now begun — one that appears to lack transparency. He warned that under the guise of settlement, a systematic distribution of land is being carried out in favor of selective individuals.
He further revealed that in previous settlements, lands in various villages of Tehsil Ormara were allocated to settlement officers, tehsildars, patwaris, and their close associates. Now, the repetition of the settlement process for already settled lands signals a concerning intention to reallocate valuable properties under dubious means.
Qadir Bakhsh has called on authorities to take immediate notice of this issue and halt the ongoing injustice to the rightful claimants. He emphasized the need for transparency and fairness to ensure that the rights of local residents are protected and public trust in government processes is restored.
