Chairman PAC Acknowledges Multiple Factions Within PTI

Islamabad:Chairman of the **Public Accounts Committee (PAC)**, **Junaid Akbar**, has openly acknowledged that **Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)** is currently facing internal divisions with several factions vying for influence.

In a recent media interaction, **Junaid Akbar** admitted that **PTI** is a party where everyone is given an opportunity to rise, and as a result, disagreements and differences of opinion are inevitable. “In PTI, the person who has the backing of the party’s founder will rise,” he remarked.

He pointed out that currently, the party is composed of individuals who are not necessarily major names but are those who are still loyal to the party. **Junaid Akbar** stated, “PTI has only the founder and its workers left; no big names remain in the party anymore. Attempts were made to break the party, and now, those who had personal votes are no longer in PTI—everyone has left.”

Commenting on the lack of enthusiasm in **Punjab**, he posed the question, “Why aren’t the people of Punjab coming out? That question should be directed towards the leadership in Punjab.”

He also mentioned that while people are still leaving from **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa**, PTI workers in the province are reportedly being threatened and intimidated. “Our workers are being scared into submission,” he added.

Junaid Akbar’s remarks reflect the growing discontent and fragmentation within the ranks of **PTI**, a party that has faced significant internal challenges following the political shifts in recent months. His comments have fueled discussions about the party’s future trajectory and leadership dynamics.
