JUI-F Seeks Mediation Role Amid Political Tensions in Balochistan

Quetta: A high-level delegation of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl), led by the party’s central Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, met with Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti to discuss the prevailing political and law and order situation in the province.
The delegation included JUI-F’s provincial chief Senator Maulana Abdul Wasay, Opposition Leader Younis Aziz Zehri, and other senior party members. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the security landscape, political developments, and the ongoing sit-in protest by the Balochistan National Party (BNP).
In light of the current political tensions, the JUI-F leaders offered to play a mediating role between the concerned parties. Chief Minister Bugti welcomed the initiative and briefed the delegation on the government’s stance, emphasizing that both the government and the opposition share a collective responsibility to maintain peace in the region.
He appreciated the constructive political role of JUI-F, stating that the party has always acted as a responsible political force, whether in power or in opposition. The Chief Minister further stressed that political issues can only be resolved through dialogue and that the government is actively engaging with all stakeholders to find peaceful solutions.
