Governor Balochistan Stresses Unity Among Political and Religious Leaders to Tackle Regional Challenges

Quetta – Governor Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, emphasized the crucial role played by the province’s seasoned political leaders and respected religious scholars in steering Balochistan through various crises over the years. He acknowledged their consistent efforts in promoting political dialogue, launching joint movements for provincial rights, enhancing social harmony, and presenting effective political solutions to emerging challenges.

The Governor expressed these views during a meeting with central leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) and Member of National Assembly, Maulana Ghafoor Haideri, at the Governor House in Quetta.

Governor Mandokhail stated that in light of the current tense situation and growing political and economic challenges in the region, the guidance and cooperation of Balochistan’s wise political minds and respected religious figures are more essential than ever. He stressed that through mutual understanding and by acknowledging each other’s difficulties, sustainable solutions to current problems can be achieved.

He further said that considering the volatile state of the region, immediate and concrete steps need to be taken in the interest of the country and the province, as there is no room left for further division and conflict.

Highlighting the proud traditions and values of the Pashtun and Baloch communities, Governor Mandokhail said that historically, several political and tribal disputes were peacefully resolved through the traditional *Jirga* system. This, he noted, reflects the humanitarian spirit, progressive mindset, and political wisdom of the region’s people.

He urged all stakeholders—including political figures, religious scholars, and spiritual leaders—to actively play their role in safeguarding public interest and ensuring long-term peace and development in Balochistan.
